The programme, which was held at the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture in Accra, was organised by the African American Association of Ghana. The theme of this year's celebration is "Ghana's Golden Jubilee- the African American presence." In attendance were members of the African American community,with the US Ambassador accredited to Ghana HE Pamela Bridgewater as guest of honor; also present was Ghana's minister for Tourism and Diasporan Affairs Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng. Frank K. Cooper as PRO, Mr. Worpoe J. Woahloe as Music Consultant, and Mr Steve Tequah as Local Manager-Liberia. These highly versatile individuals said they were drawn to the group because of her vision for not only Liberian but African gospel acapella music and they vowed to do all within their power to take the group forward.
